Job Description

11th Hour is currently seeking to add a dedicated Federal Government Staff Auditor to the team of one our experienced audit, advisory, and accounting clients headquartered in Alexandria, VA. Our client specializes in providing the personalized services of a small firm with the full resources and 
quality of larger accounting firms.

As a staff auditor, you will be tasked with executing the following -


  • Interact with key client management to gather information, resolve audit-related problems and 
    make recommendations for business and process improvements 
  • Document comprehensive understanding of client financial and operational processes
  • Use the audit results and analysis to develop recommendations in accordance with Yellow Book requirements for improving compliance, effectiveness, efficiency and accountability 
  • Perform testing of financial statements and accounting reports 
  • Perform internal control reviews and testing
  • Research accounting issues
  • Compile and analyze relevant data


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required 
  • Secret clearance preferred
  • CPA Certification or 150 credits for eligibility to sit for the CPA exam 
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and ethical value
  • Exceptional client service and oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships 
  • Professional demeanor
  • Strong sense of urgency and solution-oriented mindset 
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, ClientPoint)
  • High level of enthusiasm and a capacity for overcoming obstacles
